How I can help
I install, service and repair boilers, fit or move radiators, and take care of water, heating and gas pipework. Tell me what you want to change or what’s going wrong, and I’ll help you choose the next step.
- Boiler installation: a suitable model and a fixed quote for the agreed work.
- Boiler servicing: planned maintenance, with parts discussed before fitting.
- Boiler repair: no heating, pressure loss or a fault code.
- Radiators: replacement, relocation, valves and heating problems.
- Water and heating pipes: new routes for renovations and changed layouts.
Planning a job in Zaandam
Zaandam is about 45 minutes from Medemblik, longer at rush hour on the A7, so I plan my visits there ahead. A boiler replacement or a planned service fits that well, and I can often combine visits in the Zaan towns on the same day. See a recent service in Zaandam for what a visit looks like.
Send photos of the boiler, the flue and the space around it. In a flat, tell me which floor you’re on and how I get in and park.
Good to know in Zaandam
- Zaanse houses and monuments. Zaanstad has 277 national monuments, including many of the wooden Zaanse houses. Changing a monument usually needs a permit from the gemeente. Replacing a boiler in the same spot, with the same flue route, is the simplest way to avoid that.
- The heat network in Zaandam Oost. A biomass plant near the Pascal College heats about 2,200 homes in Zaandam Oost. Zaanstad’s heat vision wants Hoornseveld, Peldersveld, Kogerveld, Poelenburg and nearby districts off gas before 2030. If you own a home there, check the plans before you replace your boiler.
- Lots of flats. Most homes in Zaandam are flats, and more than half are rented. The largest group was built between 1950 and 1970. If you rent, check with your landlord before booking: servicing a boiler they own is usually their job.
- Water and pipes. PWN supplies the water. Its water is soft, so limescale in the boiler is less of a worry. The old Zaan houses built before 1960 can still have lead drinking-water pipes indoors.
What does it cost?
My rate is €114.95 incl. BTW per hour, with no call-out charge. A boiler service is €145 incl. BTW plus materials.
Boiler replacements are quoted as a fixed price after I have assessed the job. A standard CW4 installation is typically €1,995-€2,495 incl. BTW, with the full scope confirmed in writing. See the prices page for the other installation options.
Arrange a visit
Send me your postcode, a few photos and a short description of the job. Include preferred dates and the make and model of the boiler if you have them. I’ll check the details, explain the options and let you know when I’m next in Zaandam.
Work is booked by appointment and I don’t run a 24-hour service. Because Zaandam is 45 minutes away, I may not be able to come the same day for a breakdown; I’ll tell you honestly when you message.

No. My rate is €114.95 incl. BTW per hour, with no call-out charge. Materials are separate. Boiler installations receive a fixed quote.
€145 incl. BTW plus materials. Send the make and model and tell me about any faults before booking.
No, it's a known Intergas trait and it's harmless. I fixed exactly that during a service in Zaandam; the job story is below, and the fix fits into a normal service.
