If you’re changing room layouts or replacing several radiators, send the full plan. It’s easier to arrange the connections and pipe routes while access is available than after the decorating is finished.

Good to know in Enkhuizen

• Permits in the protected centre. Inside Enkhuizen’s protected townscape, even a house that isn’t a monument usually needs a permit for a heat pump or solar panels. Work indoors, out of sight from the street, doesn’t. So a boiler swap in the same spot is simple, while an outdoor unit needs checking first.
• Gommerwijk-West’s own heat network. Residents there run a cooperative, Buurtwarmte Enkhuizen, to connect the neighbourhood to a heat network. If your boiler fails before your home is connected, a repair is often wiser than a brand-new boiler.
• Soft water. Much of West-Friesland’s water comes from PWN’s plant at Andijk, which treats IJsselmeer water. PWN’s water averages 7.9 °dH and counts as soft, so limescale in the boiler is less of a worry than in harder-water regions.

What does it cost?

Every job gets one fixed price before I start, with no call-out charge. A fault visit is €135 incl. BTW, small parts included, and a boiler service is €145 incl. BTW plus materials.

A standard boiler replacement is a fixed price too: €2,095 incl. BTW for a CW4 (Intergas HRE 28/24 CW4 or Remeha Avanta Ace 28c), with the scope confirmed in writing. Work on the flue is assessed per job. See the prices page for the other boilers and fixed prices.
